The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Transmountain clinical practice site is a collaboration between The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, offering high-quality patient care and clinical education opportunities for residents, medical students, and nursing students. Ideal Candidate
Passionate about ambulatory care and teaching Desire to work in a stimulating academic environment Strong interest in professional development Experience in didactic and clinical teaching Engagement in quality improvement and scholarly projects Minimum Qualifications
M.D. / D.O. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine Unrestricted medical license or eligibility in Texas Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of hospitalist experience Board Certification in Internal Medicine Experience in community hospital settings and with residents Emerging regional or national reputation (Associate Professor or higher) Responsibilities
Provide inpatient consultations and services Collaborate to improve inpatient care quality Communicate extensively with community primary care physicians Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Optional outpatient responsibilities based on interest Supervise residents and teach medical students Engage in scholarly activities and institutional governance Participate in community and public service activities Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations Adhere to institutional policies and demonstrate professionalism Community Highlights
