The ChristianaCare Center for Heart & Vascular Health
is currently seeking an
Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist
to join and lead our
Advanced Heart Failure Program . Responsibilities include: Leading a multidisciplinary team of board-certified specialists, including Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Nurse Practitioners, and Heart Failure Care Navigators, in one of the top 10 largest volume heart failure hospital systems in the United States. Providing advanced heart failure care services independently, including management of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). Participating in patient care through consultative and inpatient services, patient admissions under the Advanced Heart Failure/LVAD service, outpatient care, on-call coverage, and teaching opportunities with ChristianaCare's Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship. Supporting initiatives to improve patient outcomes through innovative programs, new technologies, virtual health care, and clinical research. Collaborative leadership with the leadership of the Heart and Vascular Service line, Section of Cardiology, and Medical Group. About the Team The ChristianaCare Advanced Heart Failure Group comprises 4 physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and support staff. The cardiology section includes diverse community practices and a hospital-based group of 25 cardiologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians. The practice offers busy clinical work, teaching opportunities, and engagement in research. The Center for Heart and Vascular Health performs numerous cardiac procedures annually and provides advanced heart failure services, including LVAD management. ChristianaCare is affiliated with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and partners with Pennsylvania Hospital for transplant services.
