The Medical College of Wisconsin
is seeking a
Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA)
to join its Adult Anesthesiology Division. At
Froedtert Surgery Center , the practice of anesthesiology involves a team approach with faculty anesthesiologists, fellows, residents, advanced practice certified nurse anesthetists, and CAAs. The successful candidate must provide high-quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population, working under the supervision of Adult Anesthesiologists and as part of a dedicated team. Patient Care
We provide care at several locations in Milwaukee, including: Froedtert Hospital, a 689-bed Level-1 Trauma Center with state-of-the-art equipment across 32 ORs and additional anesthetizing locations The Milwaukee VA Medical Center, a 196-bed hospital with a simulation center Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital, smaller community hospitals with ambulatory surgery centers Additional ambulatory surgery centers in Wauwatosa and Oak Creek The
successful candidate
must provide anesthesia care to pediatric patients, working under supervision and as part of a highly trained team. For more info, visit:

Administer general and local anesthesia Maintain anesthesia delivery systems and monitors Prepare patients for monitoring Monitor patients under anesthesia Make care plan recommendations Perform post-procedure checks Operate anesthesia equipment Provide direct patient care throughout perioperative stages Obtain medical histories and conduct exams Review medical histories for accuracy Order diagnostic tests Coordinate with Anesthesiologists for procedure prep Employ emergency procedures as needed Perform administrative duties like record collection and follow-ups The above describes typical responsibilities but is not exhaustive.
