Overview
WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with nearly 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring and compassionate physicians, and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care to our patients and the community we serve. We are currently seeking physicians with an interest in joining our consult liaison Psychiatry team. Our physicians provide consultative services to our patients across the Raleigh and Cary hospital campuses. We are looking for physicians who are skilled in both pharmacological and short-term psychotherapeutic management of psychiatric inpatients and med/surg inpatients with psychiatric-substance abuse co-morbidity. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students, and/or APP's within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. The Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
