The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and WVU School of Medicine seek a Neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for its School of Medicine Eastern Division regional campus. The successful candidate will practice in Martinsburg, WV and Ranson, WV.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will practice in neurology, provide patient care, and be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
Qualifications:
Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, be eligible for state medical licensure, have completed an ACGME-certified neurology residency program, and be board certified or eligible in Neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Successful candidates will join an academically oriented, supportive, collegial group focused on evidence-based medicine, progressive teaching, and research. The general neurology practice covers conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's. Opportunities exist to develop subspecialty interests. WVU Medicine supports the use of Advanced Practice Providers to enhance patient care, with outstanding clinical and administrative support staff to facilitate daily operations.
Our Eastern Panhandle location is just over an hour from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, MD. It offers a rural atmosphere, a lower cost of living, and easy access to major cities, making it an ideal place to live. The area has experienced growth due to an influx of professionals from nearby urban centers, boosting telecommuting and high-tech industries.
