The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) and the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the UNM School of Medicine invite applications from physicians with training and expertise in hematology or medical oncology and a focused interest in clinical care and research, with experience in hematologic malignancies, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, or innovative cell-based or targeted immunotherapies. The successful applicant will participate in multidisciplinary clinical care and cancer clinical trials as part of the UNMCCC. This is an Open Rank, Open Track position. Faculty rank and appointment will be based on experience and accomplishments. The candidate should have fellowship training and a strong interest in developing clinical trials in Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy, fostering collaborations, participating in research teams, and contributing to teaching. Competitive salaries, endowed positions, and startup packages are available. About UNMCCC
The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center is the state's only NCI-designated Cancer Center, providing extensive cancer care and research. It treats a large proportion of New Mexico's cancer patients, with active participation in clinical trials and research, supported by significant federal and private grants. The center also provides education and training to students and professionals in cancer research and healthcare. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: MD or MD/PhD with board certification in Internal Medicine Board certification/eligibility in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology Experience in cancer clinical trials and/or translational research with focus on hematologic malignancies Eligibility to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cancer clinical trial design and conduct Expertise in Hematopoietic Stem Cell transplantation and CAR T cell therapy Experience in developing novel therapies Experience in education of residents and fellows Experience in clinical and translational research Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and working with diverse communities Application Instructions
