Direct Placement: Full-time Permanent Position
Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Environmental Inspector include: Performing SWPPP inspections for projects with stormwater permit authorization Inspecting stockpiles, silt fences, etc., per CASQA guidance Reporting and documenting any noncompliance events and their resolution Managing your own schedule and communicating it clearly to the client and project manager Being responsible for meeting standards of quality and meeting internal deadlines Taking ownership of assignments and seeing them through to completion Implementing field assignments in accordance with health, safety and quality control requirements Maintaining professional image while interacting with clients Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refreshers Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in MS Word Office Suite Products Ability to travel to project sites as needed Detail-oriented with paperwork and submittals Ability to correctly fill out a field notebook, photography documentation, health and safety audit forms, etc. Attend and/or lead a health and safety daily meeting Collect soil and water samples, complete paperwork, and transport to a laboratory Ability to calibrate and operate field meters (e.g., pH) and record results Inspect stormwater best management practices (BMPs) and report findings Additional Information
Salary:
Negotiable, $80,000/year (DOE)
