The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Psychology is pleased to accept applications for one full-time post-doctoral fellow who will provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and consultation services to maltreated children under the age of 6 years and their families involved with the child welfare system. The fellow should be able to clinically conceptualize a wide variety of cases involving young children and their caregivers with challenging behaviors, attachment and/or relationship problems, developmental delays, and/or other mental health problems and make appropriate referrals. The fellowmay also carry cases involving older children and their caregivers. The fellow will also provide consultation, supervision, and training to multidisciplinary professionals. Training and supervision will be provided throughout the year. Opportunities for research, advocacy, teaching and training may be available. Qualifications

RE QU I REDED U C A TI O NA N D EX P E R I E NCE:

1. Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship in clinical or counseling psychology by the start of fellowship. 2. PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology by the start of the fellowship. RE QU I RED K N OW L ED G E, S K I L L S ,A B I L I T I E S / C OM P E T E N C I E S T Y P I C ALLY N EED E D T O P E R FO RM T H I S J O B S U C C E SS F U LLY:

1. Psychological assessment skills

2. Interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration skills

3. Individual, dyadic and family therapy skills

4. Completion of APA-accredited psychology internship in infant mental health

5. Experience in a clinical setting working with children and adults (e.g., mental health clinic, practicum placement, etc.)

6. Ability to provide training to other professionals and students

7. Must have the necessary physical skills to complete consultations and required documentation

8. Competent communication and writing skills

9. Flexibility and ability to organize and manage time independently.

PRE F E R RED QU A L I F I C A T I O N S :

1. Specialized training in infant mental health 2. Experience participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team 3. Working knowledge of child development 4. Experience in supervision and teaching 5. Experience with consultation with parents, child welfare staff, and other professionals Application Instructions
