Who we are
In Solar operations and maintenance, we are responsible for managing our Solar farms and ensuring optimum performance for the benefit of the multiple households that rely on the sustainable energy we produce.
Our Challenges
We need to successfully support, execute, and provide configuration and maintenance services for the Process Control System and other automation systems at the Enel Green Power Facilities for Solar assets. We aim to ensure facility controls automation and machinery function safely, efficiently, reliably, and within budgetary limits, utilizing allocated resources, with the objective of meeting business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime.
Some examples of your activity
- Monitor site performance via SCADA, Remote Desktop, and SAP.
- Provide all weather station, trackers, UPS, PC, Switch, Modem, PLC, HMI, AC system onsite preventative maintenance associated with the plant process control systems to comply with regulation, best practice, contractual, and business needs.
- Have working knowledge of solid-state circuitry and programmable controllers.
- Be able to work with various PC programs and operating systems.
- Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and testing of equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and repair plant mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
- Responsible for providing onsite services for all Controls Systems on the Process Control Network.
- Responsible for performance and maintaining 24x7 uptime of Control Systems including parts consumption system support and communications to Control Systems and other associated devices.
- Responsible for Process Control PLC SCADA channels including hardware and software communication.
- Responsible for overall performance and maintenance of controllers that process and control many of the field devices for the operation of the facility including I/O and related system components that connect field devices to the Control Systems.
Who are we looking for?
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
- 3+ years of industrial automation experience in the Energy Sector or similar business, utilizing complex Control Systems.
- Industrial automation experience in the Energy Sector or similar business, utilizing complex Control Systems: E.g.- SCADA, Ladder Logic (PLC), etc.
- Networking experience, Windows, Linux, DOS, C++.
- Communication bus, IOT experience.
- Preferred:
- Associates/Tech. Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Technology.
- 3+ years of industrial automation experience in the Renewable Energy Sector or similar business, utilizing complex Control Systems: E.g. - SCADA, Ladder Logic (PLC), etc.
- Comprehensive experience in the operation and maintenance of Control Systems.
- Must have a good understanding and be familiar with ESD systems, PLCs, control systems, and UPS systems.
- Must also have comprehensive experience in the Instrumentation field with a strong knowledge base of field instrumentation, fire, vibration switches/transducers, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Experience with plant shutdown/turnaround activities.
- Must possess strong PC skills for calibration and testing on various equipment types; familiar with MS Word, Excel, Visio, SAP, CMD, Linux, Windows, Terminal, etc.
- Good written/verbal technical communication skills.
- Good analytical problem-solving skills, including root cause failure analysis.
- Active learner, self-starter/motivated.
- Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills.
- Experience reading and understanding P&ID and MF drawings including Cause & Effect diagrams.
- Understanding of Vendor/Equipment data sheets.
- Understanding of Instrument & Electrical drawings and ladder logic.
- IT communication and automation skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of control systems experience in installation, commissioning, design, maintenance, or operations.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Valid state driver's license.
- NFPA 70 E Trained and familiar with Electrical PPE and its use.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel.
- IT Tool Knowledge: SAP, SAP PM, Power BI.
- Ability to perform physical requirements including climbing ladders, stairs, and site inspections.
