Objective: The PMO Project Manager is responsible for managing projects throughout the project life cycle. The person will possess strong attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to make logical decisions in a timely fashion. Strong client service with ability to meet respective timelines and manage project scope.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Manage multiple team projects and multiple team projects with cross-functional complexity
• Knowledge of PMBOK® methodology required
• Develops communication plan
• Ability to complete stakeholder analysis
• Document project scope
• Elaborate on stated business requirements to derive project scope
• Documents project tasks, timelines, and milestones
• Proven ability to develop a comprehensive cross-functional project plan and milestones
• Documents resource assignments to tasks
• Assist in defining the resource allocation for distribution of the workload
• Track progress and determines relative progress against plan
• Proactively analyzes progress to date across all facets of the project plan
• Proactively uses various techniques to address unfavorable progress to plans
• Communicates regularly and effectively with project team, sponsors, stakeholders, and clients
• Documents project risk and mitigation plans
• Curates and assesses project risks
• Documents issues and action items
• Manages resolution of project issues and action items
• Documents project meetings as well as lead project meetings
• Awareness of change management techniques to help support project success
• Incorporates appropriate change management techniques when managing a project
• Assume other duties, as assigned by manager
LEADERSHIP
• Ability to drive a project with a project plan and minimum supervision
• Oversight of project team activities throughout the project life cycle
• Mentors and trains new and junior project managers
• Ability to provide input on the development/maintenance of project tool kit, according to best practices
• Create and develop artifacts to add to the project tool kit
INDUSTRY
• Experience managing projects required
• Knowledge of healthcare billing preferred
• Experience working in finance, healthcare, or insurance related environment preferred
• Proven experience managing complex projects within a PMO required
Education/Experience:
• Four-year degree in Business, Science, Healthcare Administration (or other related field) required
• PMP Certification, preferred
• Three (3) years of experience in Project Management
• One (1) year of experience working with teams
• One (1) year of experience in a PMO environment
• Detail-oriented and logical thinker with strong analytical, process improvement, and problem-solving skills
• Skilled in using Microsoft Suite- Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Visio, and Project. Familiar with Teams, and OneNote.
• Ability to establish priorities, proceed with objectives, and work independently
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement, government payer and managed care industry, a plus
• Experience with medical accounts receivable management and medical billing software a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills at an executive level
Requirements:
Physical Demands: General office demands including sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Dexterity with general office equipment including but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and calculator. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting to a changing atmosphere. The employee will be expected to make judgement decisions, grasp new ideas, and communicate with various employees and clients at all levels.
