Job Overview
Optiv + ClearShark is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Splunk Engineer (Federal Managed and Advanced Services) to join our cybersecurity team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing the Splunk platform to automate and orchestrate security operations. Key responsibilities include developing custom playbooks, integrating security tools, and enhancing organizational security posture. How You’ll Make an Impact
Create custom Splunk reports, dashboards, and content based on customer requirements. Troubleshoot Splunk instances effectively. Execute tasks within scope of work following standard procedures with minimal oversight. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives. Serve as escalation point for complex issues. Support Associate, Level I, and Level II Engineers with sophisticated tasks. Qualifications
TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, etc. Experience operating in classified environments. Strong understanding of identity, SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts. Splunk Core certification is required. Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) certification is desirable. Splunk Certified Architect/Consultant is preferred. Interest or experience in deploying and maintaining Splunk SOAR, Enterprise Security, and Cribl Stream. Proficiency in Linux and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON, etc.). Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Willingness to travel as needed. Work Experience
