JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business. Manages the store finances, marketing and employee performance. Controls the overall quality of products and services. Tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates
TRUE courtesy, respect, friendliness, and professionalism at all times. Provides
prompt responses to employees and customers and handles all requests/issues in a courteous and efficient manner. Learns
vendor product familiarity and knowledge thoroughly to assist employees and customers with suggestions and assists the owners with product orders. Trains and guides
Supervisor, Lead and CSAs to ensure quality of work is met at all times. Posts
updates and announcements on the B2Bs ConnecTeam app and serves as an example on B2Bs best practices, productivity standards and expectations. Maintains
B2Bs inventory management system and online store. Contacts Suppliers/Vendors with discrepancies and manages all store supply inventories. Ensures
all markdowns/ups are completed accurately and assists employees with counting merchandise for inventory purposes. Supervises
all cleaning tasks (breakroom, art station, bathrooms, classroom, storage rooms, sales floor dusting, sweeping, vacuum, etc.) to ensure a neat, clean and organized store. Safeguards
confidential material, such as employee files, customer credit card information and B2Bs financial records. Maintains
a high level of awareness and customer contact on the sales floor to prevent customer theft. Reports
any unsafe conditions or practices to the owner and follows safety policies to prevent injuries to employees/customers and to minimize risks and losses to the business. Understands
all policies and procedures concerning all POS transactions, to include but not limited to, cash, credit/debit, gift cards, store credits, voids, offline procedures and online sales. Oversees
any sales floor change ups and maintains B2Bs planogram. Follows
B2Bs policies on clock in/out procedures, ensures timesheet approvals, manages all attendance/tardy issues, creates employee schedules and maintains time off requests. Manages
art camps, paint classes and craft workshops. Ensures all employees have the necessary tools and performs all the necessary procedures (scheduling, setting up, breaking down, cleaning, etc.). Prepares
employee evaluations to include 30 days, as well as annual performance appraisals. Handles
employee issues, prepares and administers writes ups to include verbal, written, as well as termination notices. Enters
journal entries and conducts monthly reconciliations. Assists
owners with the planning process, setting goals/objectives, conducting staff meetings, establishing employee incentives and organizing employee outings. Conducts
all opening/closing procedures and ensures completion of employee daily checklists. Handles
school district purchase orders, tax exempt forms and teacher vouchers. Represents
B2B at district events, education conferences, television media, etc. Conducts
marketing responsibilities to include updating B2Bs website and posting on social media platforms. Performs
other duties as assigned. Requirements
KEY COMPETENCIES: High Integrity and Trust Excellent Training and Motivational Skills Exceptional Customer Service Skills Excellent Written/Verbal Communication Skills and Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred High Sense of Urgency and Excellent Multi-Tasker Attentive to Detail and Effective Problem Solver High competency with POS systems, MS Office software and social media platforms EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or higher Two or more years of experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity at a retail store, or similar Proven experience in handling employee conflict resolutions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds or more.
