Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of HV/EHV substation design, including developing single line diagrams and physical layouts.

Manage teams, set clear expectations, and ensure project goals are met or exceeded.

Identify stakeholders, drive effective communication, and align project teams.

Oversee design studies, calculations, and development of bills of materials.

Write specifications, evaluate vendors, and manage procurement processes.

Serve as the technical contact for clients and project managers, ensuring quality and scope management.

Lead technical reviews, develop proposals, and support project closure.

Define and improve engineering processes and standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Engineering

At least 10 years in HV/EHV substation design in industrial, renewable, or utility sectors

Professional Engineering license (US), willing to review and seal drawings

Willing to travel 20%, including internationally

Desired Characteristics

Proficiency with CAD and BIM software

Experience with HVDC, FACTS, GIS, AIS, and power system studies

Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI standards, and codes like NEC and NESC

Field testing, troubleshooting, and safety-conscious design experience

Strong organizational and leadership skills

The salary range is $131,700 - $175,500 annually, with potential bonuses. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more. The position is remote, with a projected close date of July 21, 2025.
