Worley Consulting is seeking a Principal Financial Advisory Consultant and Top-Tier Business Developer to lead and expand our financial advisory practice, focusing on energy transition, sustainability, and infrastructure projects. This role involves building strategic client relationships, leading complex projects, and driving revenue growth in the New York financial sector. Responsibilities
Generate over $5M in annual consulting revenue by leveraging relationships with C-suite executives in PE firms, banks, and institutional investors. Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, translating their strategies into actionable advisory projects aligned with ESG and sustainability standards. Drive the growth of Worley Consulting’s Financial Advisory practice through strategy development, talent acquisition, and industry representation. Lead complex engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction. Enhance the firm’s reputation through thought leadership, industry speaking engagements, and publication contributions. Innovate in tools, methodologies, and analytics to position Worley Consulting as a leader in lender advisory services. Embed sustainability and safety principles into all activities, aligning with net-zero and environmental goals. Travel as required for client meetings and project sites. Qualifications
15+ years in Financial Advisory, with expertise in M&A, debt financing, lender advisory, or ESG financing. Proven success in business development, generating over $5M annually. Extensive network within New York’s PE, investment banking, or institutional sectors, with established C-level relationships. Experience at top-tier consulting firms, investment banks, or boutique advisory firms in senior business development roles. Preferred: Knowledge of energy, infrastructure, refining, petrochemicals, or renewables, and energy transition financing. Education & Certifications
MBA, BS in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent. Certifications like CFA or CPA are advantageous. Skills & Attributes
Exceptional communication and influencing skills for engaging C-suite and Board stakeholders. Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic problem-solving abilities. Leadership experience in cross-functional, multicultural teams under tight deadlines. Established industry network in New York for rapid revenue growth. Willingness to travel extensively to global financial hubs. Reputation as a trusted advisor with a passion for sustainability and energy transition.
