SUMMARY:
WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers.
The
Intermediate Information Security Engineer
will support Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) efforts to integrate cybersecurity standards and requirements into all phases of the system development lifecycle. This includes developing and maintaining A&A packages throughout all stages of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. The engineer shall provide support for A&A authorization decisions such as Authorization to Operate (ATO), Authorization to Connect (ATC), Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), Interim Authorization to Build (IATB), and Denial of Authorization to Operate/Connect (DATO/C), reporting directly to the WinTec Program Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support A&A efforts to complete tasks that integrate cybersecurity standards into all phases of the system development lifecycle, including developing and maintaining A&A packages throughout the DoD RMF process. Support includes aiding in A&A authorization decisions such as ATO, ATC, IATT, IATB, and DATO/C.
Provide support for network architecture research and design.
Prepare reports on network device configurations and analyze network performance after new configurations are implemented.
Assist in planning and setup for demonstrating network defense-in-depth solutions, including sensor optimization and orientation.
Provide network engineering services to test network architectures.
Support network installations, including site surveys, network access, database management, mobile device management (MDM), virtual private cloud (VPC) architecture development and integration, accreditation activities, and system operational testing and evaluation.
Analyze operational requirements and capability documentation to identify deficiencies and develop innovative solutions to address cybersecurity capability gaps.
Serve as a liaison and coordinator supporting leadership and government organizations, including serving as a point of contact for cybersecurity, SCADA, electronic warfare, and IPL-related investigations.
Assist in conducting Cyber Security Tabletop Exercises (CTTX), Cyber Vulnerability Investigations (CVI), and Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessments (CVPA) to identify risks and improve security posture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or information security, with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification.
Approximately 20% travel required.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
Knowledge of organizational interfaces among military, federal, state, and local agencies.
Strong time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to shifting program requirements and work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
