Job Duties

Subject matter expert in digital communication areas, especially in digital modulation/demodulation, channel coding, synchronization, and equalization, pulse shaping, and match filter design.

Working knowledge of acoustic telemetry systems and related signal processing algorithms.

Knowledge of detection and estimation theories.

Apply engineering techniques to predict telemetry system performance, develop adaptability in changing conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to mitigate system design risks.

Use laboratory hardware and software tools to perform routine analysis, predict electronic circuit or control system performance, and identify design improvements.

Define, develop, and test diagnostics for telemetry hardware.

Develop design documentation and present to stakeholders during design reviews, seeking approval as per Halliburton's lifecycle process.

Develop innovative solutions and new technologies.

Mentor junior technical staff.

Additional knowledge in digital circuit design, mixed-signal circuit design, signal conditioning, or power supply design is a plus.

The ideal candidate will hold an MS or PhD in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent experience, with a strong record of technical accomplishments, ability to commercialize technology, and over 7 years of relevant industrial experience.

Experience with acoustic telemetry systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 6 years of experience; a master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
