The Global Business Services (GBS) Network Operations team oversees and supports Wolters Kluwers Enterprise Network, spanning multiple public/private clouds, data centers, and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. This role is responsible for the maintenance, support, and development of our Enterprise Network, which includes over 150 global locations. The position involves reactive support for networking issues and proactive projects to support our Enterprise Network Transformation initiatives. It offers a hands-on opportunity for those passionate about large-scale Enterprise Networks and public cloud technologies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement network strategies aligned with organizational goals, including Cloud Networks (AWS or Azure), switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls from various vendors (e.g., Cisco). Lead network projects from conception to completion. Mentor and train junior network engineers and IT staff. Lead troubleshooting efforts, escalate issues as needed, and ensure timely resolution. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations, supporting audit activities. Implement solutions to restore network functionality promptly. Monitor network performance and capacity daily. Maintain network documentation, configurations, and operational procedures. Collaborate across teams and external vendors to meet organizational requirements. Adapt methods, maintain composure under stress, and communicate effectively across regions. Manage projects related to hardware installation and decommissioning, adhering to deadlines. Participate in planning and implementing network changes, including updates and configurations. QUALIFICATIONS You have: 10+ years of experience supporting wireless networks in campus environments, with emphasis on Cisco wireless within cloud infrastructure. Experience with Network Policy & Access Control tools like Cisco ISE or Prime. Ability to troubleshoot WLAN issues and monitor WLAN technologies. Proficiency with wireless tools such as Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, Ekahau, and Wireshark. Certifications like CCIE Wireless, CCNP Wireless, or 300-415 ENSDWI are highly preferred. Strong knowledge of IP networking, protocols (BGP, OSPF), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, SNMP, and QOS. Understanding of Zero Trust security models and content filtering solutions like Zscaler or Palo Alto Networks. Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform). Cloud certifications such as AWS CLF-C02 and/or Azure AZ-700 are desirable. Experience supporting secure cloud networks (Azure, AWS, Google). Experience in large enterprise environments. Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills Experience with Cisco WLC, SDWAN, DNA, InfoBlox DDI, CloudFlare DNS/Proxy. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, CCIE) and cloud certifications (e.g., AWS ANS-C01, Azure AZ-700). Zscaler certifications and familiarity with observability tools like SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes, Grafana, Prometheus. Experience with CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
