Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist I performs various chemical, hematological, immunohematological, serological and microbiological tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsibilities
Analyze clinical laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures. Performs tests calibrations and runs Quality Control materials at appropriate intervals, and Evaluates results to decide whether tests should be reported. Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Evaluates the acceptability of analysis prior to releasing patient results. Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance and laboratory equipment calibration. Accurately performs and records proficiency testing. Adheres to regulatory requirements and performs related tasks as needed or instructed. Qualifications
Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License Experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist Intern preferred
