Structural Project Engineer
to join our team in
Orlando, FL ! Ardurras Transportation team offers design capabilities ranging from complex multilevel interchanges to urban arterial reconstruction and complete streets for our clients. Our portfolio features signature projects, including the I-395 Signature Bridge reconstruction in Downtown Miami, showcased in the Engineering News-Record. Our designs are customized, sustainable, and cost-effective, covering all project types, including Design Build and Design Bid Build. Our clients rely on our expertise in planning, engineering design, and construction management to deliver safe and efficient transportation solutions. We are seeking an engineer experienced in detailed design of bridges and roadway structures to support FDOT projects. Projects may include minor and major/complex roadways and interchanges, offering opportunities to mentor junior staff and learn from top local transportation industry experts. Primary Function:
Conduct detailed design engineering work for moderate-sized projects involving a single discipline. The engineer must be proficient in all standard design aspects and capable of independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting design techniques, procedures, and criteria. Primary Duties:
Perform analysis and detailed design of bridges and roadway structures in compliance with standards and specific FDOT or FHWA requirements. Prepare calculations, sketches, and review drawings and BIM models. Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution. Assist in QA/QC of final design packages before construction. Communicate project updates and timelines with staff and clients regularly. Provide written and verbal reports under tight deadlines for multiple projects. Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. PE license in Florida is preferred or the ability to obtain it within 6 months. Minimum 6 years of experience in structural engineering on transportation/roadway projects. Proficiency with relevant software and engineering tools.
