Senior Platform Engineer – Scientific Data Company

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in software or infrastructure engineering roles.
Strong experience running production AI/ML infrastructure, including model lifecycle management.
Advanced knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code (CloudFormation, CDK, or similar).
Proficiency with Python and TypeScript for APIs, backend systems, and automation.
Hands‑on experience with Databricks, MLflow, or similar model registration/serving systems.
Strong containerization experience (Docker) and familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration (ECS or similar).
Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure for batch and real‑time ML workloads.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with cross‑functional engineering teams.
Desired Skills & Experience
Familiarity with LLM orchestration tools such as DSPy.
Experience optimizing LLM performance (latency, cost, usage analytics).
Knowledge of vector/embedding systems such as OpenSearch.
Background integrating LLMs into architectures like RAG (retrieval‑augmented generation).

40% Cloud‑native infrastructure engineering
30% MLOps systems, pipelines, and model operations
20% Data ingestion, transformation, and analytics support
10% LLM/RAG integration and platform enhancements
Daily Responsibilities
60% Hands‑on engineering (building pipelines, writing IaC, deploying infrastructure)
20% Collaboration with AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and platform teams
10% Architectural design & reliability improvements
10% Researching & prototyping new AI/platform technologies
