Job Summary The Midwifery Fellowship Program Administrator is responsible for comprehensive coordination and administration of the Black Midwifery Fellowship (BMF) and its associated training programs across multiple clinical and community sites, including UCSF Women’s Options Clinic, ZSFG Women’s Options Clinic, ZSFGH Black Centering, ZSFG Birth Center, and ZSFG Obstetrics, Midwifery & Gynecology Clinics. The role requires specialized knowledge in program management, curriculum coordination, community engagement, regulatory compliance, and support of a diverse cohort of trainees.
Main duties include: recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, access provisioning (UCSF and ZSFG appointments, badges, EPIC), scheduling, tracking fellow progress, organizing mentorship, educational activities, stipend payments, compliance, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, finance coordination, and support for volunteer offices and education programs.
Additional responsibilities: coordination of rotations and orientations for aspiring midwives and students, program evaluation and continuous quality improvement, data analysis, IRB submissions, grant proposals, manuscript preparation, and serving as main point of contact for external stakeholders.
Salary Salary range: $83,700 - $125,600 (annual). Final offer components subject to approval based on UC policy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
Minimum 3 years experience.
Knowledge of relevant policies, regulatory requirements, health professions education program requirements.
Knowledge of administrative analysis and operational research; ability to develop and implement processes and systems.
Excellence in oral and written communication, active listening, critical thinking.
Strong interpersonal skills, cooperation, empathy, problem‑solving.
Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in related area.
5+ years experience.
Experience with fellowship or training programs in a medical university setting.
Prior experience in or volunteer work with a family planning environment.
Knowledge of educational software and platforms; ability to analyze and improve user experience.
Knowledge of data management and documentation; statistical analysis skills.
