The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for supervising all employees on an assigned shift in Sterile Processing (SP), performing duties associated with cleaning, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, as well as storage and transport of specific instrumentation, surgical sets and patient care equipment, while incorporating safety and customer service expectations.
Responsibilities include:
Providing case picking education and training.
Arranging transportation of borrowed instruments and equipment across multiple JHM entities, including clinics, and ensuring collaborative communication for all parties involved.
Coordinating attendance at educational programs and facilitating staff learning.
Ensuring consistent and timely use of measurement tools to monitor and report quality and productivity within the department on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of sterile processing experience.
Upon Hire
Must have one of the following sterile processing certifications: CSPDT (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or CRCST (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)) certification.
Within 12 Months Of Hire
CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader) or CSPM (Certified Sterile Processing Management) certification is required.
CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessor) or CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) certifications are required if you have oversight of endoscopy.
Salary Range Minimum $29.40/hour – Maximum $51.46/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
