Overview
Managing Director – CRE Conduit Loan Originator at SitusAMC (New York office). Responsible for sourcing, originating, structuring, and closing commercial real-estate financings across a range of property types.
Responsibilities
Source new business and originate CRE conduit loans in accordance with market standards and company origination guidelines.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, including brokerage firms, developers, high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and property owners.
Pre-screen opportunities prior to sizing, underwriting, and documentation.
Oversee a deal origination team to prepare and present lending packages for internal credit approval.
Negotiate loan terms and conditions with borrowers to achieve optimal terms for client and bank.
Provide independent, in-depth credit quality analysis to senior management and loan approval committee.
Use credit skills to identify transaction strengths and weaknesses and design structural features to mitigate risks.
Work closely with loan transaction management, underwriting, syndicate desk, securitization bankers, and capital sources to ensure compliance, documentation, and execution.
Coordinate processing and closing of approved loans in line with company policies.
Lead, mentor, and support junior team members.
Qualifications & Requirements
BA/BS, ideally in commercial real-estate finance, finance or similar.
Strong network of contacts in the CRE industry (mortgage brokers, decision makers).
Proven track record of originating and closing a high volume of securitized CRE conduit loans.
15+ years of experience focused on commercial real-estate.
Strong valuation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent structuring, planning and task management abilities.
Desire to work within a diverse team and be a supportive collaborator.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Willingness to work from New York office weekdays; travel expected.
Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range: $300,000 – $375,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonus.
