Job Description
Mountain Park Health Center is looking for Dentists to join our well-established and accredited team of dental care providers. As a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Arizona, we are dedicated to sustaining and improving health by providing excellent, patient-centered primary care. As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive general dental care to a wide variety of patients in a quality‑oriented, efficient, and cost‑effective manner. Dentists will work in a group‑practice clinical setting and provide care to our patient population across five life cycles: prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Duties include performing dental examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
Essential Functions
Examines patients’ mouths and supporting structures to determine the nature and extent of dental conditions.
Develops and carries out adequate treatment plans, including oral and systemic disease assessment, restoration of carious teeth, and extractions. Performs a full array of general dentistry services such as preventative care education, extractions, fillings, space maintenance, prefabricated and custom crowns, and removable prosthodontics.
Performs administrative work related to the functions of providing dental services. Charts records of all services provided and patient response to treatment.
Evaluates and treats patients in a timely and courteous manner, providing patient education about good dental health practices and post‑operative care.
Contributes to the training and proficiencies of clinical employees, including dental students and ancillary care providers.
Participates in a quality improvement program to ensure patients receive high‑quality care in the office and from other providers of dental care services, using peer review, dental records audits, grievances, and other mechanisms as appropriate.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Dental School.
Arizona Dental License.
Board Certification.
Current DEA registration.
Current CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to speak Spanish.
At least 2 years of experience in public dentistry.
Experience in pediatric dentistry.
