Senior Compliance Manager – Sanctions Based in the United States of America, Canada or Europe as part of the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team, you will manage risks to our firm, our clients and our people while enabling client impact and innovation.

Impact As a Senior Compliance Manager, Sanctions, you will lead and oversee the sanctions compliance framework within our Sanctions & Trade Compliance team to ensure our firm adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Build, shape and drive a robust and comprehensive sanctions compliance program within E&C in partnership with senior leaders, legal and risk functions.

Drive the sanctions compliance agenda including continuous evolution of the program based on the firm’s risk profile.

Provide internal visibility to the ever‑changing sanctions regulatory landscape and ensure appropriate enhancements to ongoing program and activities as needed.

Support the firm’s sanctions compliance risk assessment, drive enhancement of sanctions controls (e.g., screening), improve sanctions standards, develop metrics and deliver sanctions‑specific expertise to key support functions.

Collaborate with a cross‑functional senior stakeholder group (Legal, Risk, etc.) across the firm in a timely and efficient manner.

Articulate regulatory compliance obligations to internal and external stakeholders, serving as an expert advisor to the broader E&C community.

Play a critical role in sustaining and evolving the E&C program and upholding the firm’s commitment to integrity and lawful practices.

Strengthen the global sanctions compliance framework by advancing its design, oversight and continuous improvement, translating geopolitical and regulatory developments into actionable risk management practices.

Your Qualifications and Skills

5+ years in Risk and/or Compliance, with a focus on international trade controls (sanctions, export controls).

Strong knowledge of US, UK, EU, UN and other global economic sanctions; experience with risk‑related databases and technology solutions (screening tools).

Specialized compliance training or certifications (CAMS, CGSS, CSS) are a strong plus.

Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving and issue‑spotting abilities.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to handle complex, sensitive issues in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English, with ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.

Proven experience leading global, multi‑disciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Build trust‑based relationships with leaders and colleagues; act as a key thought partner and cultivate respectful, team‑oriented culture.

Demonstrate discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential materials.

Proactively address ambiguous problems and drive them to resolution.

Knowledge of research techniques, databases and accessing regionally relevant public records and archives.

For new joiners in Canada and/or the United States, the range is $190,900–$254,600 USD and $198,800–$248,800 CAD. Bonuses, benefits and final compensation will be determined by location, experience and other factors.
