Sr. Sales Associate Rack Room Shoes

Primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to our customers, meet or exceed all store goals, and support company business initiatives. Associates will handle a variety of tasks throughout the day as directed by the store management team, including POS and back‑office responsibilities such as refunds and exchanges, processing shipping to home (S2H) and customer pickup orders, and maintaining all company and store operations policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Create an excellent shopping experience by consistently meeting company service standards and promoting the rewards program.

Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and keep merchandise presentation fresh and organized.

Display a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and strong product knowledge to assist customers effectively.

Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and order of all areas.

Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.

Monitor loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff.

Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with sales floor placement.

Perform cashier functions in accordance with existing policy and procedure, checking all shoes for correct mates.

Process all sales and POS terminal transactions following policy and procedure.

Handle refunds, exchanges, and S2H/customer pickup orders as required.

Key Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Basic verbal and non‑verbal communication, organizational, and math skills.

Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.

Familiarity with company policies and procedures.

Fundamental visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.
