Responsibilities

Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and best practices to lead the newest R&D platforms to market.

Working cross‑functionally with technical teams to ensure the successful launch of new products and support of existing products.

Coordinating engineering and development activities for Point of Care Primary Care in vitro diagnostics (IVD) instruments, consumables, and accompanying eco‑system products.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Service to coordinate platform enhancements, implement cost‑reduction projects, drive corrective actions in response to field issues, respond to new regulatory requirements and mitigate manufacturing supply risk and manufacturing quality issues for our diabetes care and urinalysis product lines.

Scoping, strategizing, piloting, and executing upgrades and/or migrations to tools and/or processes.

Skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to cross‑functional product development teams.

Solid understanding of structured product development.

Proficient in tools and processes related to systems engineering and product development.

Proficient and experienced in developing and maintaining complex electromechanical medical devices.

Highly motivated self‑starter able to achieve results with minimal oversight.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong creative, analytical, and problem‑solving, technical judgment, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Able to communicate effectively at all levels of a matrix organization, as well as teach and present new ideas.

Broad project management skills and the ability to seamlessly switch between big picture thinking and product‑level details.

Experience & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in design in the medical device space.

Preferred hands‑on experience with MagicDraw, Mentor Graphics, SolidWorks, Teamcenter, and SAP.

Good understanding of basic multidisciplinary engineering fundamentals and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

Willing to travel locally or internationally.

Leadership experience and skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence, coach, and guide colleagues to achieve meaningful results and make a business impact.

Base Pay Min $137,910 – Max $206,870 (may vary by geography, skills, experience, and qualification).
