Job Objective
Develop and execute economic oil and gas investment opportunities for the company by evaluating reservoir, production and geologic data, while working closely with other team members.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Identify, prioritize, present, and monitor oil and gas development and exploitation projects with respect to mineral and royalties opportunities
Identify and quantify oil and gas targets using type curves or reservoir models
Identify reservoir mechanics and predict potential for additional recovery and upside
Research field and well histories.
Creates, updates, and prepares economic databases, primarily in ARIES.
Retrieves, downloads, and imports well production and other meta data.
Completes summary evaluation spreadsheets and various metric worksheets and graphs.
Build PowerPoint slides for evaluation presentations
Reviews and verifies accuracy of evaluation well data.
Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
Supports company vision and mission.
Ability to pull, understand, and filter LOS data for use in pro-forma economic modeling.
Adheres to work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Houston Office based with no remote working options.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years oil and gas engineering work.
A&D, investment banking, minerals or private equity experience preferred.
Ability to accurately solve problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
Ability to integrate data from different sources
Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Strong working knowledge of Aries, Expert Excel skills, Microsoft Office, and Enverus Suite. Preferred: Combocurve, Spotfire, Mineralsoft, Power BI, IHS Enerdeq and SAP. Use of AI tools like MS-CoPilot to streamline workflows.
Educational Requirements Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year university or college with a degree in engineering.
