Responsibilities
Create hardware and sensor models in C++ (engines, servos, air data sensors, IMUs, GPS sensors, optical sensors, boat models, contact models).
Manage the lifecycle of the models for all development environments (SIL, PIL, HIL, VIL).
Add unit tests for newly written C++ code and models.
Validate models against live flight data using system identification methods.
Create justified Monte Carlo bounds for all models.
Document all models.
Scale simulation into continuous integration pipelines.
Required Qualifications
3‑5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience developing and delivering a simulation framework for internal or external customers.
Solid fundamentals in math and physics.
Experience with C++17 or newer in a production environment.
Experience with Linux, git, command‑line tools, and data analysis.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated record of hard work, trustworthiness, high standards and kindness.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised application development.
Experience with physics‑based implementations of forces and moments, numerical methods, differential equations.
Familiarity with rigid‑body dynamics (Euler’s equations, quaternions), aerodynamics, propulsion systems.
Compensation $160,000 – $220,000 per year, paid within the listed range plus bonus, benefits, and equity for full‑time regular employees. Temporary employees receive the same base pay plus a temporary benefits package after 60 days. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check and reference check.
