Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
Accept patient referrals from other physicians; act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization.
Participate in academic programs such as medical education and research as requested.
Provide appropriate documentation to meet insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on‑call schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Licensed Physician (MD/DO) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts; must be verified by the Local Credentialing Office prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
Current Board certification in Family Medicine (BC/BE) preferred; OB sub‑specialty experience is a plus.
