Position Summary We are looking for a talented Forensics Scripting Developer to join our team and play a key role in creating innovative tools for forensic analysis and investigation. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize scripts and applications to automate processes, analyze data, and uncover critical insights. Working closely with forensic analysts and other stakeholders, you will contribute to solving complex challenges by leveraging your technical expertise and creativity. Alternate Experience General comment on degrees: Most contracts allow additional experience (4‑5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4‑5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master’s Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.

Position Responsibilities

Develop custom forensic scripts for analysis

Automate data extraction and parsing tasks

Collaborate with forensic analysts to identify scripting needs

Optimize and troubleshoot existing scripts

Document and maintain script libraries

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in forensics

Required Skills

Proficiency in Python or PowerShell

Knowledge of forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK)

Familiarity with file system structures and data recovery techniques

Experience with data acquisition from various sources

Understanding of digital evidence handling best practices

Ability to analyze and interpret log files and system data

Desired Skills

Experience with malware analysis tools

Knowledge of network forensics and packet analysis

Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques

Experience with memory analysis and forensics

Understanding of cloud‑based forensics

Ability to integrate scripts with enterprise forensic systems
