Senior Wastewater Engineer
Join GFT as a senior wastewater engineer focusing on design, permitting, and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure in the Mid‑Atlantic region. What You Will Do
You will lead or support the conceptualization, design, and construction administration of water/wastewater infrastructure projects, traveling as needed within the region to support clients and coordinating with municipalities and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities
Participate in and lead project teams in the planning, designing, and administering construction of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities. Travel periodically within the region to support the client base. Engage in client interactions, delivering presentations, and coordinating project activities. Manage project assignments and tasks across multiple disciplines, including developing and implementing study and design standards, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and tracking project schedules. Coordinate work activities and communicate with municipalities and governmental regulatory agencies. Oversee construction contract management and observation services. Prepare technical reports and permit applications. Demonstrate professional technical writing and verbal communication skills. Stay actively involved in the engineering industry, particularly within the water/wastewater sector. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred. 5-10+ years of experience in the water/wastewater discipline, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing studies, plans, and specifications for water and/or wastewater infrastructure. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Progressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting, and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems. Strong team player with excellent planning and organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver effective client presentations and prepare detailed written reports. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred). Compensation
Salary range: $120,000 – $175,000, dependent on experience and geographic location. Benefits
