Oracle (HCM, HR & Payroll) Applications Analyst II : IT Business Systems Job Overview The Application Analyst II is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting the clinical, financial, or administrative, and/or other healthcare information systems used for the delivery of patient care and other supporting functions. The analyst oversees practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications, supporting the goals of Hoag.

Specifically, the Oracle ERP (HCM, HR & Payroll) Application Analyst serves as the subject‑matter expert for Oracle ERP Cloud modules related to Human Capital Management, Human Resources, and Payroll. The role translates business requirements into functional designs, configures and maintains Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Benefits, and Time & Labor modules, and supports integrations with other ERP and third‑party systems. Responsibilities include evaluating problem tickets, handling system performance optimization, building configuration dictionaries, participating in system design and validation sessions, and assisting end‑users with reports and change communication.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Oracle ERP Cloud modules (Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Benefits, Time & Labor).

Translate business requirements into functional designs and support implementation.

Evaluate and resolve problem tickets, service requests, and system performance issues.

Build and maintain system dictionaries, profiles, and configuration points.

Identify and implement system enhancement requests.

Collaborate with vendors, functional teams, and IT leadership to improve system performance and reliability.

Test new releases and customizations before production deployment.

Assist end‑users in report design and testing, and communicate changes.

Participate in project teams and system design, validation, and remediation sessions.

Perform duties with supervision as needed and as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the assigned application or equivalent system.

Advanced knowledge of the assigned applications in at least one functional area.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Three or more years’ experience in a healthcare environment, preferably integrated health systems.

Experience with report building tools.

Previous experience with payroll or staffing applications; preferable Krosnos.

License & Certifications Current California driver’s license for local travel.

IT Department EPIC

only: Epic training and certification required in the assigned application area, including completion of certification projects and tests. At least one secondary certification or badge relevant to the supported module is required.

Certifications Preferred : Other certifications within the application area of responsibility and support.
