The Role As a Mobile Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting‑edge mobile applications that deliver an exceptional user experience. You will take ownership of the entire app‑development lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance—working closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and fellow software engineers.
What You’ll Do
Develop mobile applications using the React Native framework.
Create and maintain application programming interfaces (APIs) that support mobile functionality.
Translate code into user‑friendly applications and collaborate with internal teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Remain current with terminology, concepts, and best practices for mobile app development.
Write unit and UI tests to identify and prevent malfunctions.
Apply full‑lifecycle application development practices using standard design patterns and frameworks.
Aide performance tuning, usability assessment, and improvement.
Proactively identify and remediate software issues related to code quality, architectural mismatches, and security vulnerabilities.
Document software solutions and ensure technical documentation meets GM standards.
Maintain compliance with GM standards and industry‑standard methodologies.
Demonstrate and model GM values and cultural behaviors, holding yourself and others accountable.
Play a leadership role within the team.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in mobile development.
Experience participating in software project delivery efforts, including deployments.
Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance, and automated solutions testing.
Experience maintaining and debugging live software applications.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Additional experience using React Native in a mobile environment.
3+ years of mobile development experience with React Native.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $134,000 to $205,000, varying based on relevant factors.
Bonus Potential: Incentive pay based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
