Allied Universal® is hiring a Senior Application Engineer. The Senior Application Engineer provides advanced expertise to installation and service teams, ensuring seamless interoperability across complex security platforms and enterprise applications. The Senior Application Engineer will drive high-level troubleshooting, custom programming, system commissioning, software upgrades, and advanced diagnostics.
Pay Range: $120,000-$160,000
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design and integration of complex application ecosystems, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms and security systems
Design and optimize network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN) to support high-performance application connectivity and scalability
Lead advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis, driving resolution of critical system and software issues
Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align application deployments with business objectives and technical standards
Oversee software lifecycle management, including configuration, updates, and compliance with licensing requirements
Escalate and manage high-impact incidents, providing strategic recommendations to minimize operational risk
Develop and enforce project governance, ensuring efficient resource allocation, timelines, and adherence to best practices
Deliver executive-level training and mentorship, enabling successful adoption of applications and continuous skill development
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE)
High school diploma or equivalent
Product specific certification(s) with access control systems and video platforms, such as AMAG, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Software House, or similar
Minimum of three (3) year of experience programming and troubleshooting access control and video systems
Advanced knowledge of industry-leading security system and equipment providers, working with enterprise-level clients or large projects
High-level decision-making and complex problem-solving ability to develop innovative solutions that align with organizational strategy
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)
Expert ability to interpret, evaluate and apply advanced technical documentation, ensuring systems and solutions meet enterprise and client requirements
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to establish and maintain trusted partnerships across executive leadership, technical teams and client organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
