Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical ICU Stepdown 36 Hour Nights 7pm – 7am, With Every Other Weekend This 38-bed unit provides care for intermediate level surgical patients. Expected patient population consists of post-operative patients requiring intermediate level care, either directly transferred from the PACU or in the SICU. Specialties include cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma and transplant patients. Responsibilities:

IMCU core competencies CAPD Post-operative care of cardiac surgery patients (post ICU) Care of the ventilated patient Care of the thoracic surgery patients Hemodynamic monitoring: arterial lines Stable doses of dopamine, neo-synephrine, diltiazem, dobutamine, nitroglycerine (non-titrated) Care of post-operative cervical spine and traumatic brain injured patients (post SICU) Post-SICU care of esophagectomy, laryngectomy, or major oromaxillary surgery Post-operative renal transplant Continuous renal replacement therapies Care of high-risk OB patients Experience/Certification:
