is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified
Hematologist/Oncologist
to join our busy, hospital-employed practice in
Hammond, Louisiana .
Overview:
North Oaks Medical Center is conveniently located in Hammond, LA - offering a small-town charm and close-knit community atmosphere, but also easy access to both New Orleans & Baton Rouge both cities are less than an hour away! As the largest health care delivery system in the region, North Oaks boasts a 330-bed acute care hospital, 14 expansive operating suites, level II trauma designation, stroke center certification, a 27-bed rehabilitation hospital, a freestanding surgical center, two diagnostic centers, a hospice agency, and the largest multispecialty provider clinic in the region. Serving a large geographic market of approximately 500,000 residents, North Oaks has provided quality health care to its community for over 60 years. Enjoy both the fellowship and the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced partner in a new state-of-the-art cancer center located on the main campus of the medical center. Operating as a Hospital Service District, all excess revenues are reinvested to expand the services and technologies that North Oaks offers; additionally, as we are a not-for-profit, our employed physicians may be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Using the EPIC electronic healthcare record, North Oaks invests in technologies and programs that allow our providers to deliver the highest quality of care. Offering academic opportunities for its physicians, North Oaks received accreditation from ACGME in January 2024, and began its Internal Medicine Residency Program in July 2024.
