Job Description This role is responsible for providing technical leadership in Sample Management for Product Release Testing, Stability Study Operations, Reference Standard Management, and Lab Inventory Management across all AbbVie QC labs. The successful candidate will develop multi-year strategies, create business technology roadmaps, and bring an innovative mindset to support the planning of BTS solutions that enhance business outcomes. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with QA Labs Business Owners, Manufacturing Sites, and the broader BTS organization to analyze, evaluate, and develop solutions that meet the needs at the intersection of Global Labs Business and evolving technology. Responsibilities Develop and promote business cases for key projects. Oversee a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion, ensuring cross-functional alignment on scope, benefits, costs, and timelines. Work effectively across IT shared services, manufacturing sites, and QA Labs stakeholders. Provide management oversight, coaching, and mentoring to 2-4 direct reports. Ensure data and technology roadmaps support business objectives while optimizing total cost of ownership and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborate with delivery teams and vendors to minimize production issues, ensure business continuity, and align with architecture and standards. Define Data, Reporting, and AI strategies for AbbVie's QC Labs, outlining value-based roadmaps to enable insights and efficiency. Communicate and educate stakeholders about current architectures, technologies, and industry trends. Identify current and emerging business needs; evaluate and recommend technology solutions balancing short-term and long-term goals. Manage financial targets of the portfolio, including monthly, project, and vendor costs. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 7-10 years in business analysis, project management, portfolio management, or strategic planning. Self-directed leader with strong understanding of business needs and strategic direction setting. Excellent analytical, judgment, and communication skills. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage relationships. Significant experience configuring and deploying Lab Systems (LIMS, ELN, CDS, Inventory, Asset Management). Understanding of relational databases and SQL skills. Proven leadership in project and team management.
