Business Analyst-IT
for our StoreSupport Center located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040. SUMMARY
The Business Analyst'srole is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient solutions in support ofcore organizational functions and business processes. This includes support for technical aspectsof business requirements, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Analyst will maintain softwareapplications in support of achieving business requirements. This includes responsibility for the design, testing, documentation, QA support andpost-production support for customer solutions. This individual will apply provencommunication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize thebenefit of IT system investments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES includethe following. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Focus on ensuring seamless integration between point-of-sale systems and SAP financials while leveraging SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) for comprehensive transaction analysis and business intelligence across our diverse grocery chain portfolio. Ensure accurate and timely posting of daily sales transactions, returns, voids, and promotional adjustments to SAP financial modules Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures, implementing error handling procedures and data validation controls Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data transmission processes and reduce processing latency across multiple chain formats Maintain integration mapping tables and configuration settings for different POS vendors and chain-specific business rules Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all POS transactions are properly reconciled in SAP Manage integration complexity across different grocery chain formats (supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty formats) Standardize POS-SAP integration processes while accommodating chain-specific business requirements Develop chain-specific reporting and analytics while maintaining enterprise-wide data consistency Analyze variance reports and investigate discrepancies between operational and financial systems Support tax reporting requirements including sales tax reconciliation and compliance reporting Analyze, assess, and execute solutions for issues and/or new requirements for existing business systems and procedures. Perform development and documentation of software configuration or program modifications. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Deliver assigned projects on time and on budget. May involve occasional after-hours resolution support in event of systems incidence EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field 5+ years' experience working in IT environment utilizing SQL, data constructs and database schemas as well as familiarity with job scripting and batch processing. 5+ years' experience working in either software development or software support Understanding of grocery industry-specific processes including perishables management, promotional pricing, and loyalty programs Knowledge of retail financial processes including daily cash reconciliation, promotional accounting, and inventory valuation Applicants having any of the following experience preferred:
SAP CAR Point of Sale Systems Payment applications Customer Data Platforms Customer Experience Design Applicants with experience in a retail company are given preference.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Strong documentation skills with ability to create technical specifications and user guide Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience with change management and user training for system implementations Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed. Strong technical documentation skills. Good interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong customer service orientation.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is$85,000.00 to $100,000.00. The actual starting pay will be determined by anumber of qualifications; including, experience and relevant skills.
