Senior Program Manager

Agency: The Normal Anomaly Initiative Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 Job Location: Houston, Texas Job Type: Senior Program Manager Employment Type: Exempt Position Background
The Normal Anomaly Initiative is a nonprofit organization in Houston doing work centering African American and queer people disproportionately marginalized by multiple disparities. Through direct services, advocacy, leadership development, capacity building and community engagement, The Normal Anomaly Initiative works to eliminate barriers and create new norms. The Senior Program Manager would serve as the staff contact for all project operations, including the day-to-day operations of the project and liaison between executive leadership. They will also assist in providing and coordinating direct service operations. The Senior Program Manager will serve as the events and outreach contact and will be responsible for the meaningful engagement of focus areas in the communities we serve. Timeline: We plan to begin interviewing for this position in November 2024 with hopes to start the position immediately. We are seeking one Senior Program Manager at this time. Key Responsibilities: Outreach plan creation. Event oversight. Meetings with funders. Service Development. Development of partnerships and collaborations. Maintaining quality control standards to preserve the integrity of direct service programs. Coordinating and maintaining weekly schedules of staff. Managing staff’s daily duties, responsibilities, and workflow. Serve as liaison between executive leadership. Writing reports to summarize data and the implications of the results for direct service programs. Ensure program participants’ health, safety, and well-being by supervising all activities. Maintain accurate program documentation (participant files, data entry, attendance, sign-in/out forms, incident reports, and accident reports, as appropriate). Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all participants. Assist with the creation of marketing, social media set-up, and events. Understand and communicate The Normal Anomaly Initiative’s core values and the goals of the program to participants and the community. Adhere to all funder standards, expectations, and regulations. Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events. Other activities and duties as needed that address the ongoing health and well-being of our staff and members. Follow and maintain sanitary habits following CDC guidelines. Desired Skills & Experience: Minimum of four years of experience working in community outreach, public health and/or social services, or college equivalent. Comfort in working with Black, same-gender loving people, transgender people, gender non-conforming people and non-binary people, and communities impacted by HIV. Reliable transportation. Exceptional time-management.
