Emseal, A Sika Company, is a manufacturer of premium sealants and expansion joint systems for the commercial construction industry and many specialty market applications.

The Plant Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe, and environmentally sound operation and growth of the Emseal Joint Systems facility(s). The incumbent is expected to develop and implement new programs to enhance quality and productivity in a safe workplace, serving as the company's representative to align with our manufacturing vision by fostering an environment of confidence and trust.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Attain safety goals through effective safety management and enforcement of safety rules and procedures throughout the organization.

Manage raw materials procurement.

Plan and maintain production schedules.

Build and maintain vendor relationships.

Oversee facility maintenance in collaboration with the landlord.

Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams, including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving activities.

Select, train, and develop professional staff to perform at their best.

Train production personnel to ensure continuous supply of skilled labor to meet customer demand.

Motivate staff to perform at required levels to meet annual goals through effective management and coaching.

Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience.

Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts including statistical process control and lean manufacturing.

Understanding of product quality demands, problem-solving, error-proofing, and mentoring skills.

Ability to implement strategies to improve quality, productivity, and customer service.

Process mapping skills to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.

Excellent communication skills characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness, and clarity.

Strong interpersonal skills fostering teamwork and positive communication.

Consistent management style, rule enforcement, and leadership that promotes a culture of listening and respect.
