The Midstream Maintenance Technician focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both gas compression equipment and pump systems in midstream operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with triplex, horizontal and centrifugal pumps at SWD and oil facilities, as well as gas compression systems. Responsibilities include mechanical seal replacements, diagnosing and repairing bad valves or leaking fittings, and general oilfield maintenance. Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on gas compression systems and midstream pumps, including triplex, horizontal and centrifugal pumps.
Diagnose and repair mechanical seals, leaking fittings, and malfunctioning valves.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation of pumps and compression equipment.
Assist with installation, startup, and optimization of new and existing equipment.
Support capital projects involving compression and pumps, including assembly and construction inspection.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
Provide field support and technical expertise while proactively sharing knowledge with team members.
Qualifications
Experience with gas compression maintenance and pump repair in oil and gas operations.
Strong understanding of centrifugal, triplex, horizontal, and split‑cage pumps.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform general oilfield maintenance.
Knowledge of mechanical seals, fittings, and valve repairs.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
