Business Data Analyst (Vice President) Position Information Hiring Manager: Senior Director Department: Technology Solutions Department Overview The Technology Solutions Department is responsible for designing and delivering state-of-the-art technology solutions that create efficiency, mitigate risk, and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing, and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development, and 3rd Party Integration. Position Responsibilities The Golub Capital Technology Solutions Department (TS) is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a deep understanding of investment data. The Business Data Analyst (Data Gaps Specialist) is tasked with identifying, analyzing, and resolving data gaps to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Firm's data. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to understand data requirements, conduct thorough data audits, and implement strategies to address data gaps. Responsibilities include: Data Analysis: Understanding data flows and hierarchies within the Firm. Data Gap Identification: Analyzing datasets to identify gaps and inconsistencies. Requirements Gathering: Working with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data projects. Implementation: Translating business requirements and prioritizing for implementation. Business Process Improvement: Analyzing business processes and finding opportunities for improvement. Data Management: Ensuring data integrity and accuracy by developing data management practices. Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to address data gaps. Documentation and Communication: Documenting requirements and communicating insights to stakeholders. Influence and Advocate: Promoting data governance practices across the organization. Continuous Improvement: Finding opportunities for process improvement within workflows. Project Management Support: Assisting with planning and tracking deliverables. Firm Data Support: Serving as a point of escalation for the Data Governance Committee. Candidate Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in investment data. Knowledge of Data Architecture including relational and dimensional models. Strong understanding of SQL for querying databases. Proficiency in Power BI for creating reports and dashboards. Knowledge of Python is a plus. Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity. Effective time management skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to multi-task. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Committed to achieving goals with a strong sense of personal responsibility. Compensation and Benefits For Illinois Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $155,000 to $200,000.
