Senior Epic Systems Analyst , someone whos ready to be part of the best ranked childrens hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will play a major role in developing Epic application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow within an Integrated Delivery System. Think youve got what it takes? Job Duties & Responsibilities: Translates users needs into detailed requirement specifications. Identifies system or application needs. Analyzes current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes. Documents the current 'as-is' and future 'to-be' business processes. Performs vendor analysis and makes recommendations. Investigates alternative solutions including feasibility studies based on vendor analysis/evaluations. Facilitates and supports Epic system installation through the implementation cycle. Performs configuration analysis for system design. Analyzes system problems and modifications. Coordinates system implementation and upgrades. Participates in the IDS Committee as an IS representative. Skills & Requirements: Required H.S. Diploma or GED. Preferred bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field. Preferred Epic certification. Required 9 years' experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation, and support. A bachelors degree substitutes for four years of work experience; a masters degree substitutes for two years. Up to two years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two years of information systems experience. Note: We are looking for candidates that have: Experience in the management of Breast Milk and/or Formula. The workflows associated with their preparation and dispensing.
