Job Description
We’re seeking a Production Foreman to oversee all shop operations—upholstery, casework, and finishing. This role manages day-to-day scheduling, materials readiness, and production flow to ensure projects are delivered on time and to Monte Allen’s exacting standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, organization, and accountability, with a deep understanding of the craft. Location: Gardena Duration: Full-time Salary: $50,000–$100,000 per year Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production across upholstery, woodworking, and finishing departments Plan and balance workloads based on project timelines and available labor Ensure all materials (fabrics, finishes, hardware) are prepped and available for upcoming jobs Supervise and support craftspeople to maintain quality and efficiency Participate in weekly production meetings with ownership Enforce safety and quality standards in coordination with the QC lead Recruit, train, and onboard new shop employees Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and proactively propose solutions Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Job Requirements
5–7 years of experience in a custom upholstery, furniture, or millwork shop Strong scheduling and organizational skills Ability to read shop drawings and communicate technical details clearly Experience managing a multi-discipline production team Fluent in English and Spanish (required) Calm, solutions-driven leadership style Familiarity with materials management, inventory tracking, and workflow systems About Our Company
