Job Summary The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets quality of service and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will create a positive work environment and dining experience for guests, and will coach, mentor, and care for staff.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed budgets while focusing cost of goods sold and EBITDA
Manage all daily paperwork at the unit level including sales reports, red book information, shift inventories, and all other necessary paperwork to ensure the profitability of the unit
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the unit at all times
Complete monthly inspection of the unit using the Unit Inspection form in the red book
Order all food and supplies needed to operate the unit on a daily basis
Hire and discipline staff members
Select and develop a staff member to assume all duties when you are out of the unit
Hold monthly meetings with all employees to discuss any relevant information that helps run the unit
Establish a visible presence in the community by visiting businesses, churches, civic organizations, etc. to drive business and increase sales
Enforce all brand standards, company policies, and procedures
Ensure that all new hire paperwork, timesheets, payroll data, disciplinary actions, and personal data sheets are completed correctly and in a timely manner
Train all levels of staff in proper operations of the unit for POS systems, back‑of‑house functions, and front‑of‑house operations
Notify the District Manager or Vice President of Operations of any hurdles to your success
Qualifications
High School Diploma or completion of a GED
Ability to communicate effectively with all hourly associates
Ability to cover all shifts during normal operation of the unit
Previous restaurant experience required
Current ServSafe Certification
