Walgreens Cashier – Tewksbury, MA
Base pay range: $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
Assist with separation of food items, stock rotation, and first‑in, first‑out method.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and promotional photo products.
Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, fill items, deliver orders).
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition.
Assume all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by manager or corporate.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
Prefer fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
