AZZ has an exciting first‑shift opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Rockford, Illinois facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support and supervise the plant processes and procedures to maximize quality, safety, productivity, and profitability. Responsibilities
Monitors operations for efficiency and safety; ensures regulatory requirements are met. Follows production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations. Performs work duties similar to those of supervisees and/or engages in difficult skilled tasks or assists in performance. Oversees production staff and participates in hiring/training of personnel. Collaborates with production staff and upper management to solve work‑related problems. Resolves personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible or refers them to higher levels of management for resolution. Prepares and maintains employee records such as attendance and hours worked. Serves as the direct report for plant and lead personnel. Qualifications
At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills needed. Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, and costs preferred. Knowledge of hand tools and equipment preferred. Basic knowledge and skill with Word, Excel, and iPad operating system. Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some higher education desired; technical training in another field acceptable. Additional Information
