We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in IMS DB and over 12 years of experience in mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL, CICS, IMS/DB, and JCL, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance mainframe applications. This role requires a thorough understanding of mainframe databases and transaction processing systems, particularly within the z/OS environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, IMS/DB, IMS/DC, CICS, and JCL. Work with IMS database systems, including hierarchical data modeling, data retrieval, and updates. Utilize CICS for developing online transaction processing programs and interfaces. Develop and manage batch processing scripts using JCL. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement business solutions. Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code optimization. Support application deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution. Maintain documentation related to program specifications, job flows, and system configurations. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and security standards. Assist in basic system administration tasks, such as dataset management and access control. Required Qualifications

Minimum of 12 years of experience in mainframe development. Strong proficiency in COBOL programming. Extensive experience with IMS/DB and IMS/DC. In-depth knowledge of CICS and its programming interfaces. Hands-on expertise in writing and managing JCL scripts. Solid understanding of the z/OS operating system. Familiarity with mainframe system administration tasks including dataset and security management. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in performance optimization of IMS and CICS applications. Exposure to modernization initiatives or migration projects involving legacy systems. Knowledge of industry-standard best practices for mainframe development.
