Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3)

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position has a preferred work location in the Sunnyvale, CA facility but would also consider a NGMS facility to include: Rolling Meadows, IL; Baltimore/Linthicum, MD; Annapolis/Sykesville, MD; Apopka, FL; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; Buffalo, NY; Charlottesville, VA. Job functions may include but are not limited to: Defines and develops material strategy

Ensures consistent Material Finance reporting on program material

Responsible for working with other planners, buyers, quality, engineers, and program representatives to forecast material costs

Interfaces with suppliers regarding inventory levels, working capital and other contractual requirements as needed

Communicates with suppliers for lead times, and delivery times. Actively resolves and communicates and works to resolve issues

Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements and alignment to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements

Responsible for creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value Requirements, variance reporting, and root cause and corrective actions

Responsible for providing monthly Current Material Estimates at completions (CME's)

Produces and publishes monthly material receipts forecasts Analyzes and aggregates supply/demand requirements and position

Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products

Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 5+ years of supply chain and/or business management or a masters degree and 3+ years of supply chain and/or business management or 9+ years of supply chain and/or business management experience in lieu of a degree.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Experience in SAP

Experience with supplier management

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Earned Value Management

Experience with Return to Green Plans - leading and supporting

The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

Experience with Forecasting and Variance Analysis

Salary Range:

$78,700 - $136,800 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
